The Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation organizes a free training course for young journalists
This summer, the Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation is to organize a first internet digital journalism training course in Serbia. Registration starts on June 17, and the programme shall last from July 3 until September 13.
The digital journalism training course is intended for both employed and unemployed journalists, from 22 to 28 years of age, whereas those working for local media shall have an advantage. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in an editorial office, proficiency level of both written and spoken English and a high level of computer literacy.
Apart from the skills necessary for operation within digital surroundings, the students shall be given insight into the methods and experience of research and analytical journalists, and a special part of the programme shall be dedicated to ethical standards.
The largest part of the activities shall be organized on the Internet, and three “live” weekend workshops shall be organized in Belgrade.
Given that the Slavko Ćuruvija foundation is organizing this course with the support of the American National Endowment for Democracy, the best students will have an opportunity for free training at one of the editorial offices of a renowned online media, for an entire month.
