Slavko Curuvija Foundation, with the support of The Balkan Trust for Democracy (BTD), a German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) project, published today a Facebook application “What is Serbia silent about”, where contributions of the winners in the contest announced in April 2014 are available.
The application can be accessed via this Facebook page.
The contest “What Serbia is silent about” had a twofold objective: to encourage local media to speak out on issues important to citizens and local communities, and to motivate them to be more active in the watchdog role of the local authorities.
Video reports were produced by RTV M, Knjazevac, RTV VK from Kikinda, Kraljevo television productions NGO “Roma World” in cooperation with JP NTV Nis, production of ” Vojvođanska zelena inicijativa ” from Novi Sad, in cooperation with B92, and by TV “Forum” from Prijepolje.
Also published are audio reports by radio stations “Lion” from Uzice, VK Radio from Kikinda, “Radio City” from Nis, Radio “Rainbow M” from Trgovište, as well as the report by Radio “Active” from Bečej.
The project “What Serbia is silent about” is part of the Foundation’s programs intended to strengthen the independence and to build self-sustaining local media.
